Behind the technology: What is TENS and NMES?
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) send electronic pulses to stimulate your motor nerves. This is done by creating muscle contraction and stimulating sensory nerves to temporarily relieve pain.

I was amazed at how easy this device was to use. I have multiple issues and this works on all of them. The variable intensity is great, as some areas are more sensitive than others. I agree with some of the other reviews that the instructions could be a bit better, but the device itself works great, and I’ve already notices improvements in my conditions.

This unit works great. I got it for my wife who was having some acute back pain as a result of twisting awkwardly. Her doctor gave her a steroid and some pain killers, but she says this helped to provide great relief. My dad recently tried it on his neck and was so impressed that he ordered one. It has a lot of different settings. The one that seemed the most comfortable and beneficial was the “kneading” setting. We have not had the intensity level over 3 (out of 10). I bought a supply of extra pads, but doubt I’ll ever need them. We have been reusing the original pads with no issues (just clean them).
