DSDC DEMENTIA DESIGN ACCREDITED PRODUCT
The Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) at the University of Stirling has reviewed Sara Flex and awarded it a DSDC Product Accreditation Rating Class 1B.
Features
- Flexible Silicone Leg Support: The Sara Flex features a curved design with a soft and flexible surface that supports the lower legs and knees throughout the sit-to-stand movement. This large surface requires no adjustments and caters to a broad range of patients while delivering good comfort.
- Flexible Silicone Leg Strap: Positioned low and offering multiple adjustment options, the Arjo Sara Flex ensures that patients can be securely positioned from a seated to a standing position.
- Easy-to-Use Hand Control with Display: The hand control of the Arjo Sara Flex is conveniently located on a long flexible cord, allowing the caregiver to stay close to the patient throughout the transfer. It also features a display for easy monitoring and control.
- Caregiver Handle: The Arjo Sara Flex is equipped with a curved caregiver handle that enables the caregiver to choose the most comfortable and convenient holding position.
- Patient Handle: Featuring an angled and contrast-coloured design, the patient handle of the Arjo Sara Flex positions the hands, wrists, and elbows of the patient optimally during the sit-to-stand movement.
- Low Horizontal Footplate: The Arjo Sara Flex is designed with a low horizontal footplate, keeping the patient’s feet close to the ground. This design prevents the knees from being raised too high, making it easier for the patient to stand.
- Scale (Option): The Arjo Sara Flex offers an optional built-in electronic scale that shows the patient’s weight on the display of the hand control, providing convenient weight measurement during transfers.
