Purpose & Benefits
General Purpose Clip Sling with Padded Legs With padded legs for extra comfort, the general purpose sling is used for a range of everyday patient handling routines, such as bed and chair-related transfers. A padded solution is best for residents/patients who would benefit from a little extra comfort. Padding improves comfort in the sling’s leg area.
This General Purpose Sling is easy to use and will be suitable for a variety of lifting hoists, and is available in a variety of materials (see the Technical tab).
Place the back of the General Purpose Sling behind the patient’s back so the bottom of the Sling is next to the coccyx area. The stitches in the middle of the Sling should be parallel with the patient’s spine.
The leg sections should go under the patient’s legs. Thread the webbing from one leg section through the loop on the opposite leg webbing.
