This scooter is by far the most solid scooter there is. It outperforms the Pathrider 140XL by going up to 50kms with 100kWH batteries (the description shown here is incorrect as the 140XLE has better batteries – check with the staff). I have both models – 1 at work and 1 at home. The electronic display is useful to show battery, time, temperature and actual speed and the click switch controls are better than the Pathrider 140XL. It is worth the extra to purchase this model. It tackles gutters, driveways and bumps with ease and provides a chair with some ergonomic comfort with padded chair and a manual knob to push out some lumbar support (I would not call it a complete ergonomic setup but some effort is made here to mention it). This review is after I have spent 8-9 months using it. Battery charge holds well and it takes going up hills well which is why I primarily got this model. Also the 140XLE has a better turning radius of 170cm versus 210cm on the Pathrider 140XL – something worth considering when you need to turn around. Having used both models I can say the 140XLE is easier to manoeuvre. I purchased this during a 15% off sale and with rear bag, flag and extra mirror.
The downside is Adelaide Metro definitely would not let this on a bus. Having it on a train would be questionable mainly because the length exceeds the 120cm limit they have. Another downside is you need to purchase a second mirror separately – never understood why on the Pathriders when others have two. Usually another $80 or so.
Its a pity they do not show more pictures of the controls on the tiller, back, etc.
