Purpose and Benefits
VARILITE 2-Point Hip Belt attaches to the wheelchair at two points, with padding placed relative to the ASIS (anterior superior iliac spine) to provide pelvic support or stability. Attach the 2-point hip belt to the side wheelchair canes to promote anterior pelvic tilt, and attach to the back canes, or to a solid back, several inches above the seat-to-back junction for posterior pelvic tilt.
This dual attachment system not only offers customization to suit the user’s specific physical needs and seating position but also contributes to increased overall safety by preventing slippage and maintaining optimal pelvic alignment.
Features
- 40 mm webbing with options for different buckles and padding sizes (medium and large)
- The design allows the padding to be positioned to fit each individual and secured in place with tri-glides (attaching hardware)
- Contoured shape laminated foam and binded edges
- To accommodate growth, replace padding with a larger size
- Can be modified to a 4-point hip belt
- Available sizes: M, L
